Att mina bilder får “fötter” och hamnar lite överallt, kan man ju se som ett tecken på att folk faktiskt uppskattar det jag gör. Fast ibland är det grymt irriterande, då det allt som oftast görs på fel sätt. Dvs att man tar bilden och frågar aldrig. Oftast är det helt ok att låna bilder, länka bara tillbaka, det kan ju inte vara en stor grej att ge cred till den som tagit bilden.
När man räknar in fem-sex bildstölder på en helg, kan det bli lite tröttsamt, men det här tyckte jag ändå var lite kul. Bilden tog jag på Thåström på Way Out West 2011 med en enkel videokamera. Jag gissar att vi pratar 0,8 megapixlar, alltså sämre än även gamla mobilkameror, men med en bra zoom. Trots den usla kvalitén tyckte jag att den fångade essensen i Thåströms artisteri, dock trodde jag inte att någon annan höll med mig. Men det gjorde en konstnär som heter Stephan Nilsson.
Samma kväll tog jag också en pubilkbild med samma kamera när Prince lirade Purple Rain, som jag fortfarande håller som en av de bästa bilder jag tagit.
My pictures can be found everywhere, and that may be a sign that people appreciate what I do. Sometimes it is quite irritating though, as it’s almost always done in way that is not ok. I.e. people take an image, post it somewhere, and ask me never. Most of the time I’m ok with people borrowing pictures, just link back. It can’t be a big deal to give cred to whoever took a picture.
When you are up to five-six thefts in a weekend, you get weary, but this I thought was kind of fun. The picture of Thåström I took at Way Out West in 2011 with a simple video camera. I’m guessing 0,8 mega pixels, that is less than a really old cell phone, but with a good zoom. Despite the awful quality I thought it captured the essence of the artistry of Thåström. I didn’t expect anyone to agree with me, but it seems that an artist named Stephan Nilsson did.
That very night I also took an audience shot with the same camera, while Prince was performing Purple Rain, that I still reckon to be one of the best pictures I’ve ever taken.
