No, sports is not my thing. I like to get close and shoot with a short depth of field. If I try that here, I’m constantly one step behind. It’s hard enough as it is since I can’t read the game. When I finally realize that there is a rhythm to follow it’s a bit of an aha experience, but there is still a lot of waiting. When I shoot concerts I feel that there is a constant flow of pictures that need to be taken. Normally I take a thousand pictures, here I come home with less than a hundred pictures from a two hour session. I understand why photographers who don’t care for music can be satisfied with under 300 pictures from a concert.

When it comes to other subjects I know very well what I want, here I have no clue other than that the ball must be somewhere in the picture. I have worked quite opposite from real sports photographers in that instead of following the game, I have chosen I nice frame of composition and hoped the game would come to me. At least it gets more interesting the closer you get to the finals, the duels get longer and gives me more chances for good pictures.

Obviously you can have opinions about the females clothes, but like someone said last time the tour was in town: they are old enough to dress themselves.
