Jag har långt ifrån varit på alla Sci Fi mässor, men jag var på den första som var i oktober år 2000 på Backaplan. Då var det framförallt en utställning i ett tält med olika filmprylar, snyggt iscensatt med djungel och ljud som halvt skrämde vettet ur min då sjuårige son. Jag kan inte ens minnas att vi behövde köa för att komma in. I år varade kön i över en timme minst oavsett när man kom. Jag kände mig trots allt lite skeptisk till om jag skulle stå i kön eller gå hem, men så passerade jag en skylt på en dörr som löd:
Ringklockan till Framtiden är delvis ur funktion. Får ni inte inget svar, vänligen ring personen ni skall… Förutom den grammatiskt underliga dubbla negationen, så tyckte jag att detta var ett tecken att jag absolut måste gå in. Framtiden är ett bostadsbolag, tror jag, eller?! Kan vara ett hål i matrixen också.
Mycket folk, men också mycket att fota.
I haven’t been to all the sci fi fairs during the years, but I did go to the first one in October 2000 at Backaplan in Gothenburg. Then it was mostly an exhibition in a tent with various things and costumes from different movies, nicely done with jungles and sounds that scared the living daylights out of my then seven year old son. I can’t even remember a cue to get in. This year the line lasted an hour or more no matter when you arrived. I was a bit sceptic whether I should wait or not, but then I passed a sign that read:
The doorbell to The Future is sometimes out of order. If you don’t get no answer, please call the person… The strange grammatical aside with the double negations, this was literally the sign I was looking for. The Future (Framtiden) is a housing company, I think, or?! It could also be a hole in the matrix.
Lots of people and lots of things to shoot.
